On this day we remember all our freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for the country. Like every year on this independence day, freedom fighters are remembered and the flag is hoisted in all educational institutions and offices, and government organizations. Short Independence Day Speech for August 

Today I have come to present my thoughts in front of all of you on the 75th Independence Day of India. Today we have completed 75 years of freedom and we salute all the fighters for this freedom. On 15 August 1947, India was recognized as an independent nation but for this recognition, our ancestors sacrificed everything. I congratulate the people who are present here and all the people of India, Independence Day is the national festival of India, which is celebrated after getting freedom from British rule in India. Today is not only a day of joy and happiness for us, as well as today is also a day to remember those freedom fighters and we now remember those who laid down their lives for their country.

75 years ago, we were ruled by the British, they came to India on the pretext of trade and gradually they took everything and made us their slaves. And then our great freedom fighters started doing agitation, did many revolts, and in the end, we got our freedom. Independence Day is one of the national festivals of India which we celebrate every year.

Speech for 15th August- Long in English

My dear friends, today we are going to celebrate the 75th Independence Day with a free morning and we have got this freedom by facing many troubles and making many sacrifices, on this day the British Empire collapsed in our country. And on 15 August 1947, the country became free forever. 15 August i.e. Independence Day is considered to be a day of pride and good fortune for India because this day creates a new spirit of hope, enthusiasm, and patriotism in our hearts and reminds us of how many sacrifices we have made for this day. In order to achieve and protect it, if we have to sacrifice our lives, then we will definitely do it, this is the reason why we celebrate Independence Day with full enthusiasm.

On 15 August 1947, such a revolution was successful, whose echo was heard all over the world and on this day the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru celebrated the first Independence Day by hoisting the flag on the Red Fort, this is the reason that every year the PM of country hoists the Indian flag on Red Fort. And we celebrate this national festival by hoisting the flag, singing the national anthem, and paying tribute to all the right freedom fighters.

Today, on the occasion of the 75th Year of Independence Day of India, I am considering myself lucky to be here amongst all of you the reason for being lucky is that I have been born in independent India because when India was the slave of the British and our ancestors were subjected to a lot of atrocities. Today is a very special day for all of us as on this day our country got freedom. This is the most important day for every Indian because on this day the freedom fighters of the country sacrificed their lives and t is such a special occasion that reminds us of the sacrifices made by them.
