  • General Information about the department:

The department of cardiovascular thoracic surgery was started in July 2012 at Victoria hospital and it was fully established in December 2012 with fully functioning major operation theatre and bronchoscopy   suite in master plan building of Victoria hospital.
The department has 25 service beds in general ward and 5 beds in post operative ward. The department has started treating peripheral arterial diseases and venous disorders by peripheral arterial bypass grafting, surgery for varicose veins and AV malformations since October 2014.
Since the starting of department following procedures are performed.
1). Major surgical operations – 261.
2). Minor Operations - Intercostals Drainage Procedure – 404.
3). Bronchoscopy - 213
